I’m an executive level product development guy who’s really passionate about product management, strategy and user experience design. I began developing software for consumer products over 20 years ago.
Over the years, my career has moved me across the entire product development lifecycle from QA tester to company leadership. I’ve worked in pre-investment startups to large corporations. I’ve held executive and senior level product and engineering positions at MeetMe (MEET), Music Choice, Intellifit, opGate, Creative Labs / ENSONIQ and AWeber.
No matter what size company, I’ve always taking a pragmatic approach to product development.
Through the course of my career I have either directly managed, launched, or developed software for:
- A recipe organizer app
- An email marketing platform
- An online video advertising network
- A mobile monetization platform
- An interactive music video network
- A 3D body scanning system to help women find great fitting clothes
- Video set top boxes for hotel pay-per-view services
- A personal video recorder akin to TiVo
- Audio sound cards for the music and video game industry
My specialties are in product management and product marketing with a focus on agile development, product lifecycle management, build vs. buy analysis, business models, SaaS business models, product requirements documents and interaction design.
I apply those specialties developing mobile applications for iOS and Android and web applications. I also really enjoy mentoring startups and students in the art of developing products quickly and efficiently and have held speaking engagements at the Novatorium Technology Incubator, Temple University and Philadelphia University.
These days, I help tech companies build product teams and improve their product management processes as a fractional Chief Product Officer.
When I’m not helping product teams I’m the co-founder of AppJawn the software company behind the recipe organizer app ClipDish.
